Voices for Creative New York (VCNY) is New York State’s statewide culture and arts advocacy coalition. VCNY brings together artists, cultural workers, culture bearers, arts organizations, advocacy groups, government officials, and funders across disciplines, regions, and communities to strengthen the creative workforce and advance policies that support a thriving, equitable culture and arts ecosystem throughout the state.

VCNY is grounded in a collaborative and representative model of advocacy. The coalition:

• ADVANCES cross-sector policy so that culture and arts connect to labor, education, economic justice, social services, and civic life.

• CENTERS artists, culture bearers, and creative workers in leadership and decision-making.

• PRIORITIZES inclusive representation across identities, cultural practices, disciplines, and regions.
